A new survey released by AOL indicates that men will spend more money than women shopping online this holiday season.
Conventional
wisdom might say that women would be the bigger online shoppers, and
females do indeed comprise a greater number of online shoppers.
However, it turns out that the average male spends more money shopping
online per month than the average female — $204 to $186, respectively.
The numbers are bigger, as is the margin, when looking at holiday gift
shopping. The average male plans to spend more of his holiday shopping
money online than the average female, by a 15% margin — $326 to $284,
respectively.

The DMA Environmental Resource for Direct Marketers, Third Edition,
addresses the expansion of the environmental issue that has occurred
since the second edition was published in 1997.
This book shows how environmental awareness, profitability,
and corporate social responsibility aren't mutually exclusive -- that,
in fact, they actually complement each other. Being aware of your
operations' environmental impact, and responding appropriately, is
simply good business and good corporate citizenship. <A HREF="/simpleboard/Itemid,77/func,post/do,newFromBot/resubject,VGhlIERNQSBFbnZpcm9ubWVudGFsIFJlc291cmNlIGZvciBEaXJlY3QgTWFya2V0ZXJz/catid,3/rowid,63/">Discuss this article on the forums. (0 posts)</a> |

Amazon founder spoke about how important word-of-mouth is:
"Word of mouth is becoming more powerful," [Bezos] said. "If you
offer a great service people find out about it..." He predicted
that for all businesses, the amount of money spent on marketing
and advertising will decline while the amount spent developing
better products or services will increase as a result. "If the
successful recipe [today] is spending 70% of your money shouting
about your service and 30% producing a better service, over the
next 20 years that will reverse."
Advertising will not dissappear, however investments in
customer experience are going to increase dramatically.
