Ivan offers a wealth of knowledge and practical advice on marketing, sustainability, web design and technology. After participating in environmental activism, academia, non-profits, Marketing and IT Manager positions in the tech boom of the 1990's, Ivan founded SustainableMarketing.com with the desire to integrate his 10+ years of business experience with his personal passion of helping to create a sustainable society. Ivan has a BA in Geography (Environmental Issues) from Colgate University, and his MBA from the Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado in Boulder. He also holds certifications in Usability Analysis from Human Factors International, Inc. and Product Management from Pragmatic Marketing, Inc. He has been programming computers since age nine, but still manages to be an expert on communicating with people. Three of his personal beliefs are "hire smarter than yourself" , to simply "leave things better than when you found them", and "design ecstatic experiences".
For the past ten years, Brandi has directed strategic planning and marketing for local businesses, statewide agencies and national organizations. She has also served as a campaign manager, produced Austin's last two Earth Day Festivals, and multiple city-wide service projects, and most recently served as the Regional Director for the Austin Green Festival. She has operated her own company, Environmentality, Inc., since 1996. Brandi Clark has an outstanding reputation as someone who is extremely talented, positive and hard working. Her extensive marketing experience, excellent networking and communication skills, and a passion for improving the world make her the perfect sustainable marketer. Brandi has a BA in Sociology from Yale University and won the President�s Award for Community Service. She serves on the board of the Austin Sustainable Business Council, the Urban Forestry Board, and is active building community bridges in and around Austin. Her goal is to create a focal point for environmental issues and information in Austin and raise the dialog about what it means to be a socially and environmentally responsible business. Mariann ZanardoFocus: Sustainability, ISO 14000, Wind Power Location: St. Paul, Minnesota Ms. Zanardo is the Managing Director and Key Strategist of RegRelief International whose motto �Tools to Tomorrow�� summarizes the core business of her consulting practice. Her organization helps enterprises in the US and abroad to develop environmentally sustainable practices that reduce an organization�s environmental impact and regulatory burden through management strategies, team training, system development & process improvements. Ms. Zanardo has expertise in various sustainability methodologies, environmental, health & safety (EHS) regulations & management system development and integration. Ms. Zanardo is an international speaker on the topic of environmental sustainability and has been passionately pursuing innovative approaches that lessen environmental impact for over 20 years. Formally trained as an industrial engineer, she has dealt with a myriad of environmental issues in both the private and public sector. Prior to her consulting career, she was Director of Regulatory Affairs for a biotechnology firm with operations in over 70 countries. She is an experienced consultant, trainer and auditor in addition to being a Certified Hazardous Material Manager (CHMM) and a Six Sigma Black Belt. Ms. Zanardo is a futurist, an amateur anthropologist and an oceanographer. An avid scuba diver for 30 years, she has lived, worked and traveled extensively throughout Europe, the Caribbean and the Americas.
Carroll Moore
Focus: Sustainable Design, Product Design, Industrial Design Carroll Moore is Principal
and Founder of the Right Design Lab, integrating environmental,
economic and social criteria into high-performance, whole-systems
designs. His work includes architectural and product design,
furnishings, materials and systems development, manufacturing and
business development, research and training. Prior to founding Right
Design Lab, Carroll was a Partner in Studio eg, which received numerous
awards for its Ecowork furniture line, including the Design Sense 2001
Award for Sustainable Design. He spent fifteen years as Design Director
at Environment Planning Inc., New York, NY as one of the early
practitioners of green, socially-focused design. Carroll studied at the
New School for Social Research and is a graduate of the Parsons School
of Design. His clients include Amnesty International, the New York
Department of Environmental Protection, the City of Oakland,
Time-Warner, Sony and many others.
Jerry began conducting social science research in 1994 and has worked with businesses, attorneys and academics to answer a variety of questions related to human decision-making and behavior. He attained a BA in Psychology from the University of California at Santa Cruz where he graduated in the top 1% of the department and earned a variety of academic awards. Over the years, he has conducted studies on many topics including public opinion of social problems, ethics in marketing and the social sciences, consumer perspectives on sustainability, branding, retail design, the New Age movement and the lifestyles of people that use organics and alternative medicine. He has also worked as an Associate Instructor of research methods at Indiana University, Bloomington. In addition to his applied research, Jerry has published several peer-reviewed articles in trade journals addressing issues of theory and method in marketing research. He has expertise in both qualitative and quantitative methods as well as triangular (multi-method) research designs. |
